The Problem
FluentCommunity hosting has one problem generic hosts never solve: a community is a logged-in site. Feeds, spaces, courses, direct messages — nearly every page a member touches bypasses page caching entirely, so the usual advice to install a caching plugin does almost nothing. FluentCommunity is database-heavy by design, which is why WPManageNinja tells you to run it on a VPS or cloud server with Redis and Nginx, and to stay off shared hosting.
We host it on Dedicated4U: a root server that is yours alone, with an AMD EPYC 9645, 8 dedicated cores, 16 GB of DDR5 ECC RAM and 512 GB of NVMe. Then we put the annual Pro licences for FluentCommunity, FluentCart and FluentCRM inside the monthly price — one invoice, one renewal date, no separate plugin bills. If you are weighing this against our other managed WordPress hosting plans, the difference is the licences.
Served from page cache instantly. This is the case most hosting plans are optimised for.
Feed, DMs, courses and progress hit the database on every single request. This is where a community lives.

Built For

Who This Community Hosting Is For

Course creators on shared hosting

Your site was fine until the first cohort logged in at the same time. Community hosting fails at concurrency long before it fails at page speed.

Anyone running the full Fluent stack

Community, Cart and CRM on one site is three renewal dates and three invoices. Here it is one, and it never arrives separately.

Migrations off Circle, Skool or Mighty Networks

You want your members, your data and your own domain. We move the site and configure the community on hardware that can hold it.

Agencies building client communities

One dedicated server, root access, the xCloud panel, and licensing you no longer have to buy, track and re-invoice per client.
Process

How Our Fluent Hosting Works

1

Tell us what you’re running

Current host, member count, and which Fluent plugins you already own. Ten minutes on a call is enough.
2

We provision Dedicated4U

Your own AMD EPYC root server, configured for FluentCommunity before your site ever touches it.
3

We migrate and licence

We move the site, apply the FluentCommunity, FluentCart and FluentCRM licences, and test performance logged in — not logged out.
4

We tune and hand over

Redis, cron, PWA and backups configured. You get xCloud access, and we keep managing the server.
Why Us

Why Our FluentCommunity Hosting Costs Less Than Buying the Parts

Run the numbers before you compare us to anyone. A FluentCommunity Pro licence is $199 a year. FluentCart Pro is $199. FluentCRM Pro is $129. That is $527 a year in renewals before you have paid a single dollar for hosting — and most hosts selling a “community-ready” plan are quietly putting you on a shared server next to two hundred other sites.
Dedicated4U is $90 a month for a root server that is yours alone, and the $527 of licences sits inside that price rather than on top of it. Buy the same thing separately and you are at roughly $134 a month equivalent. We are not doing this out of generosity — we buy Fluent licences in 15-site tiers, so what costs you $527 costs us a fraction of it. We would rather pass that on than sell you a plan you have to keep topping up.
One thing we will tell you straight: if you are running FluentCommunity for fifty members and no store, you do not need a dedicated server. Our VPS plan at $50 a month will hold that comfortably, and we would rather you started there. Come back to this page when your feed gets busy.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

$90 a month, billed monthly, cancel anytime. That covers the dedicated server and the FluentCommunity, FluentCart and FluentCRM Pro licences — $527 a year of plugin renewals you would otherwise pay separately. There is no setup fee, and migration from your current host is free.

No. Your FluentCommunity Pro licence is included and renewed every year for as long as you host with us, and the same goes for FluentCart and FluentCRM. If you have already bought a licence, keep using it — we apply ours when yours expires, so you are never paying twice.

You can install it, but WPManageNinja specifically recommends against it. FluentCommunity is database-heavy, and community pages are logged in, so they skip page caching entirely. Shared hosting handles that badly the moment more than a handful of members are online together.

WPManageNinja’s published minimum is 2 CPU cores, 4 GB of RAM, NVMe storage, PHP 8.1 or higher, MySQL 8.0 or MariaDB 10.5+, Nginx and Redis. Dedicated4U gives you 8 dedicated AMD EPYC cores and 16 GB of DDR5 ECC RAM — four times the recommended baseline — with Redis and Nginx already configured.

Most FluentCommunity migrations are live within 2–3 business days. We copy the site to the new server, test it with you on a staging URL, then switch DNS. Your members see no downtime, and nothing changes on their side.

It gets installed on your server and licensed at no extra cost. The same applies to any Fluent product we add to the bundle later — your price does not change part-way through a term. No release date has been announced yet, so we are not promising one.

Learn More

FluentCommunity is a WordPress plugin that turns a normal site into a full community platform — activity feeds, spaces, member profiles, direct messaging and a built-in LMS for courses. It is the closest thing WordPress has to a self-hosted Circle or Skool, and unlike those it runs entirely on infrastructure you control.

The hosting problem is a direct result of how it works. Almost everything a member does happens behind a login: reading the feed, posting, messaging, opening a lesson, tracking progress. Logged-in pages skip page caching by design, because the server cannot hand two different members the same cached HTML. So the one optimisation most hosts rely on simply does not apply to the pages that matter.

What is left is raw database and PHP work, on every single request. That is why WPManageNinja’s own guidance points at a VPS or cloud server with Redis object caching rather than shared hosting, and why we run it on a dedicated server with object caching tuned for authenticated traffic. It is the same principle behind our WordPress speed optimization work: fix what is slow for members who are logged in, not for the anonymous visitor a speed test measures.

If you sell access to your community, FluentCart is the natural way to take the money. It handles subscriptions, one-time payments, digital products and licensing natively, and it integrates directly with FluentCommunity so a purchase can grant access to a space or a course without a middleware plugin sitting between them.

Running it on the same server as the community is not just tidier — it removes an entire class of problem. No cross-site API calls to fail at renewal time, no webhook arriving before the member record exists, no debugging why a payment succeeded but access did not. Checkout, membership state and community access all live in one database.

FluentCart hosting has the same shape of demand as the community itself. Checkout is logged in or session-bound, so it bypasses page caching, and order and subscription tables grow steadily as the store matures. On a shared host that shows up as a slow checkout at exactly the moment a customer is deciding whether to trust you. The FluentCart Pro licence is $199 a year on its own; here it is part of the plan.

FluentCRM is self-hosted email marketing that lives inside WordPress: contacts, lists, tags, automation sequences and campaign reporting, with no per-contact fee from a third-party platform. For a community operator that is the difference between paying for every member twice and paying for them once.

Its value goes up sharply when it sits next to the community and the store. A member joins a space, and a welcome sequence fires. A subscription fails, and a recovery sequence fires. Someone finishes a course, and they get the follow-up offer. None of that needs a Zapier step or an API integration when all three plugins share a database.

The catch is that FluentCRM does real work in the background. Sending campaigns, processing automation queues and recording opens all run on cron, and on shared hosting cron is often throttled or fired unreliably by visitor traffic. That is how a sequence ends up sending eleven hours late. We run server-level cron on a dedicated box, so scheduled email goes out when it is scheduled. The FluentCRM Pro licence is $129 a year; it is included.

Version 2.8.0, released in August 2026, added a Progressive Web App module. Members tap “Install App” in the portal sidebar and your community lands on their home screen with your icon and your name, opening without browser chrome. You control the app name, the short name shown under the icon, the splash screen colour and the icon itself, and the app follows each member’s light or dark mode preference.

It is worth being precise about what this is and is not. It is a real home-screen app that removes the browser frame and the tab-hunting — which is most of why people say a community “feels” like an app. It is not an App Store listing, and FluentCommunity’s own release notes do not document offline mode or push notifications, so we do not promise either.

From a hosting point of view the requirement is simple but non-negotiable: PWA install prompts only appear over HTTPS. Every site we host has a valid certificate as standard, and we configure the app name, icon and splash screen as part of setup rather than leaving it in your settings backlog.

The hosted platforms are genuinely easy to start on, and that is the honest case for them. What you give up is ownership. Your members live in someone else’s database, your content sits behind their export tool, your pricing is capped by their per-member fee, and any decision they make about the product becomes a decision about your business.

Self-hosting on FluentCommunity inverts that. The member list is yours, the domain is yours, the design is yours, and adding a thousand members costs you nothing extra. The trade is that you now own the infrastructure too — which is exactly the part we take back off you.

The migration itself is usually less painful than people expect. Members export from the old platform and import into FluentCommunity, content moves across, and you keep your domain. We handle it as part of our WordPress migration service, typically live in 2–3 business days with no downtime. If you are weighing FluentCommunity against BuddyBoss for a self-hosted build, we do BuddyBoss builds too and will tell you plainly which one fits what you are describing.

A managed host optimises for the average WordPress site: a brochure or a blog, mostly anonymous traffic, page cache doing the heavy lifting. Those defaults are reasonable, and they are close to useless for a community.

What we change: Redis object caching is configured for authenticated traffic, so repeated database queries on feed and course pages are served from memory instead of hitting MariaDB every time. PHP workers and memory limits are set for concurrency, because a community’s peak is fifty members online together, not one visitor loading a fast page. Cron moves to the server rather than depending on visitor traffic, so notifications and CRM sequences fire on schedule. Database autoloads get trimmed, since community plugins accumulate options that load on every request.

Then there is the hardware itself. Eight dedicated AMD EPYC cores and 16 GB of DDR5 ECC RAM is four times WPManageNinja’s recommended minimum, and none of it is shared with anyone else’s site. When your feed gets busy, the resources are simply there — which is the entire point of a dedicated server.
